Tweets CEO Jack Dorsey announced a significant company reorg yesterday, tapping Periscope co-founder Kayvon Beykpour to mind products and Mike Montano to guide the company’ s engineering group.
“ Through the zoom lens of increasing our durability, speed, invention and entrepreneurial drive, plus simplifying the way we work, I’ ve decided to make our organization a lot more straightforward, ” wrote Dorsey within an email to staff. Dorsey discussed his email publicly via a twitter update yesterday.
The objective, according to Dorsey, is to take the business back to an “ end-to-end useful organization” organized by discipline compared to previous general management structure that will resulted in more siloed teams.
“ The most glaring samples of this are a separate design plus video org that had to matrix in, ” wrote Dorsey.
Ed Ho had formerly led the company’ s item and engineering teams. According to the series of twitter posts from Ho, the particular Twitter executive had stepped far from Twitter in May to take a “ breather” but has decided to go back to only a part-time role after the demise of a family member that happened whilst he was on leave.
Per Dorsey’ s e-mail, Bruce Falck will continue to guide Twitter’ s revenue products, Parag Agrawal will continue to head upward technology, and Ned Segal can continue in his role overseeing the particular company’ s finance team.
